Educate to Liberate: A Photographic Time Capsule of the Black Panther Party's Community Education Programs Unveiled

After lying forgotten for over 4 decades, recently discovered were over 4,000 negatives documenting the years 1973-1980 of the Black Panther Party and focusing on the party's community education programs in Oakland in the 1970s-80s. This event will provide the first public look at this extraordinary photo archive which pulls back the curtain on the Black Panther Party's flagship educational achievement: The Oakland Community School.
